Enrich from the live web, not from a list everyone else bought
Company data, contacts and signals pulled from public sources as they are today, structured to your schema, with a source for every field.
One record per company, a source on every field.
Lead enrichment stalls when company pages and directories block automated visits. The Unlocker API fetches each page past the protection and returns the fields you asked for as JSON, billed only when the page comes back.
Why lead enrichment is hard to do at scale
Purchased contact lists are stale on arrival and identical to what every competitor bought. The alternative is enrichment from live public sources: company websites, registries, professional networks, news. That data is current and it is yours alone, but collecting it is hard.
Most of those sources block automated access. Company sites sit behind anti-bot systems, professional networks rate-limit aggressively, and registries return different formats per country. And even when you get the data, matching it is where accuracy dies: the same company appears as three name variants, two domains and a subsidiary, and a naive pipeline creates three records.
How Datafuel handles lead enrichment
The Unlocker API reaches the sources that block, and returns the fields you ask for as structured JSON rather than a page to parse. You define the schema, company name, domain, headcount, location, contacts, and every request returns it filled.
Records are resolved across sources so a company is one entity, not three, and every field carries the source it came from. When someone in sales asks where a number came from, the answer is attached to the record.

How it works
- 01Send a domain or company name with the schema you want filled.

- 03A single enriched record returns through the API, with provenance per field, ready for your CRM.
What to watch for
- Enrichment involves personal data. Collect only what you have a lawful basis for, and define retention before you store anything.
- Match on strong keys first: domain, registration number, then name. Name-only matching produces duplicates.
- Records decay. Schedule re-enrichment; a one-off pull is stale within a quarter.
