How are proxies and scraping APIs billed differently?
Residential and mobile proxies are billed per GB of traffic, ISP and datacenter proxies per IP for the period you choose (1, 30 or 90 days). Scraping APIs are billed in credits per successful request, from one shared credit pool: 1 credit is a basic page, 5 a page with JS rendering, 10 a premium residential exit, 100 an LLM capture. Both meters end up on the same invoice.
What counts as a successful request?
A response that contains the content you asked for: the page body, the parsed fields or the model answer. Blocks, CAPTCHAs we could not pass, timeouts and error pages from the target are not billed, and the retries we run inside a request are free.
Do credits or traffic expire?
Proxy traffic never expires: a GB bought today is still yours next year. Pay-as-you-go credit packs never expire either. Monthly plan credits reset with each billing cycle, and IPs run for the period you bought and renew only if you choose to.
Can I use one balance for everything?
One account and one invoice cover every product. Scraping credits are shared across Unlocker, Crawl, Map and LLM Scraper. Proxy traffic is bought per network, because a GB of mobile traffic is not priced like a GB of residential.
Is there a free tier?
Yes. Every scraping API is on the Free plan: 1,000 credits a month and two concurrent threads, no card required. Proxy networks come with a free trial on request, so you can test your targets before the first purchase.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay in the dashboard. Enterprise accounts can pay by invoice with a purchase order.
What is the refund policy?
Every purchase is covered by our 100% refund policy: if the network does not work for your target, tell support and the amount is returned. You test without risk.
How do you invoice EU companies?
Datafuel S.r.l. is an Italian company. Invoices carry our VAT ID; EU businesses with a valid VAT number are invoiced under reverse charge, Italian companies with Italian VAT, and customers outside the EU without VAT. Prices on this page are shown without VAT.
When does enterprise pricing start?
Above the largest list tier: 100 GB a month on residential or mobile, 100 IPs on ISP or datacenter, 12M credits on the scraping APIs. From there residential drops below $0.70/GB, IPs go as low as $0.60 and credits below the Scale rate. Ask for a quote and an engineer answers within one working day.
